On-piste Ski Leader Assessment

Cost is £40.
Location is Glenshee.
Date (1 day) is Saturday 10th Feb.
If possible, register your interest by 3rd February.
Limited to 6 people.
Will need permit application form in advance (members.scouts.org.uk/activitypermitapplication).

This is the second ski assessment this year, so unlikely to run more until next season.

Grampian Nights’ returns to Templars’ Park Campsite from the 6th – 12th August 2017.

Grampian Nights’ is an activity camp open to Scouts, Explorers, Guides & Senior Section aged between 10 and 18. For those aged over 18, they can either attend with a section or a number of staffing opportunities exist.

West Region is organising a development project in Kenya in 2016.   There are still spaces available for Explorers or Network members to join them.   Leaving on 4th July 2016 the plan is to do work at an orphanage where there is a need to repair and rebuild some chicken runs and also to decorate and kit out the library and dormitories. The trip will finish off with a safari experience.

Cost will be around £2500.

The anticipation and excitement is building, with only 15 days until the North of Scotland unit flies out to Japan for the 23rd world Scout Jamboree. Last month the Scottish and Northern Irish contingent (including Scottish IST and CST) had a training camp together at Meggernie National Activity Centre for some final preparations before the Jamboree.
