The Woolly Jumper Camp!

27 April 2014

On Friday the 18th of April a group of budding Explorer Scouts from Huntly went to Templars’ Park on the outskirts of Aberdeen to attend the Woolly Jumper camp. Many other Explorer groups from around Scotland joined us on our weekend of fun, adventure and challenges. The activities on offer included off-road driving, archery, climbing, backwoods cooking and slack lining.

There were evening activities as well; on the Friday night there was a film being shown on a big projector screen in the marquee near where we were staying in our tents. On the Saturday night there was a disco where you had to come in your onesie to enjoy some great music, dancing and all round fun. The disco was the highlight of the weekend for me, as it was great to have fun with all my new best friends!

The weather was great during the day, although it got uncomfortably cold at night. The sun was shining when we left the camp and we could see the beginning of a sun tan.

Woolly jumper is an annual event run by Aberdeen North Explorer Scout Unit.
