Return to Amber (Thursday Morning 27/08/2020)

Return to Amber (Thursday Morning 27/08/2020)

As promised, we have been reviewing the current guidance from the Scottish Government and I’ve decided to return all Districts in the North East to AMBER level as of Thursday morning (27th August).

The level is always under review and there is the possibility of changing levels at short notice, so please watch for future correspondence.

Please continue to monitor the level on the UK Scout website for the current level in Scotland along with
any variations.

We will communicate when this or any other District level changes but only when changes occur.
Please continue to prepare and submit
COVID-19 Risk Assessments
to enable F2F Scouting to return when you are ready and your RA has been approved.  I understand there are a number ready to be approved as soon as I was able to announce this change.
Let’s hope you all can progress your
RAs and get back to F2F Scouting while the light nights are still here and hopefully the weather will continue to be suitable for outdoor events.

For full information on returning safely, check out the Scout's guide available at

Please also review your mandatory ongoing  Safetand Safeguarding training.  If you are out of date or nearing renewal, please complete the online training and send a copy of the completion certificate to your ADC (AT) to get your record updated or alternatively the adult validation team

Thanks for your understanding in this situation, and the amazing Scouting that is still being offered virtually via platforms such as Zoom.
